Individual Therapy for High-Functioning Adults

Inner Wealth Therapy provides individual psychotherapy for adults seeking trauma healing, relationship clarity, and nervous system regulation.

This work is designed for high-functioning adults who appear capable on the outside, yet feel anxious, overextended, emotionally stuck, or disconnected underneath.

Therapy here is warm, engaged, and culturally attuned. Together, we focus on understanding your patterns, healing attachment wounds, and creating lasting emotional and relational change.

This work is for you if you want to:

• Heal from chaotic or emotionally intense family environments
• Change relationship patterns that keep repeating
• Feel safer and more regulated in your body
• Build boundaries without guilt
• Recover from heartbreak or relational exhaustion
• Reconnect with your needs, identity, and sense of self

If you’re seeking therapy that offers depth, attunement, and real change. You’re in the right place.

Individual Therapy

These are the primary areas we focus on in this work.
All sessions are individual telehealth sessions held through a secure platform and tailored to your history, nervous system, relational patterns, and long-term healing goals.

  • Trauma is not only what happened to you. It is what your nervous system still carries.

I specialize in supporting adults healing from:

    Emotionally chaotic or unpredictable homes
    Childhood emotional neglect
    Critical or invalidating parenting
    Complex and relational trauma
    Cultural or identity-based trauma
Survival patterns that feel hard to turn off

In trauma therapy, we focus on:

    Nervous system regulation and repair
    Grounding and stabilization
    Building internal safety
    Untangling triggers
    Reshaping emotional responses

This work goes beyond coping. It supports deep, lasting healing.

  • For adults who want healthier, more secure relationships without losing themselves.

    We explore patterns such as:

    anxious or avoidant attachment
    people-pleasing and overfunctioning
    choosing emotionally unavailable partners
    hyperindependence
fear of abandonment or fear of closeness
difficulty expressing needs or receiving support

This work helps you create relationships that feel safe, reciprocal, and emotionally steady rather than draining or one-sided.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain process painful experiences that continue to shape present-day emotions, reactions, and relationship patterns.

    EMDR can support:

    • Trauma memories
    • Breakups and relational pain
    • Emotional triggers
    • Childhood experiences
    • Attachment wounds
    • Self-worth and identity

I am EMDR-trained and integrate it within a trauma-informed, relational approach.

EMDR is always used when appropriate, and never required. We can explore together whether it feels like a good fit for you and your goals.

This work supports meaningful shifts in how past experiences are held, allowing patterns, reactions, and emotional responses to soften over time.

  • You may feel:

    constantly on edge
    shutdown or numb
    chronically stressed
    stuck in overthinking
trapped in fight, flight, or freeze

    In therapy we work to:

    regulate your nervous system
    reduce overwhelm
    calm internal activation
    interrupt stress cycles
    build sustainable grounding practices
    shift your relationship with anxiety

The goal is lasting regulation rather than short-term coping.

  • As a Latina therapist with a bicultural background, I understand the nuances of navigating family, culture, and identity across worlds.

Many clients, including Latina/x and bicultural individuals, seek a space where they don’t have to explain:

    • Family expectations and pressure
    • Cultural loyalty and guilt
    • Intergenerational patterns
    • Emotional intensity within families
    • Identity conflict and belonging questions

This work is culturally aware, relationally attuned, and grounded in respect for your lived experience, whatever your background or identity.

Therapy is provided primarily in English. I welcome Spanish-speaking clients, though my clinical work is strongest in English.

If you are seeking therapy that goes beyond insight and supports real emotional and relational change, you are in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Starting therapy begins by reaching out through the contact form. From there, we can discuss your needs, insurance, and availability to see if working together feels like a good fit.

At times, there may be a waitlist, though openings can vary by season.

If it feels aligned, we will move forward with a brief email screening and schedule your intake session. Continuing beyond the first session is always your choice.

All intake paperwork is completed prior to your first session, and sessions are held via telehealth.

  • Yes. I am currently in-network with Medica, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), and Optum. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan, so I recommend verifying your mental health benefits with your insurance provider before beginning therapy. HSA/FSA cards accepted.

  • All sessions are held through secure telehealth. Virtual therapy allows for flexibility while still providing a focused, private, and consistent space for the work. Minnesota residents only.

  • It’s common to feel unsure.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and decide what kind of support feels right for you.

  • I primarily work with thoughtful, high-functioning adults who feel stuck in patterns despite having insight.

High-functioning can look like holding everything together on the outside while feeling anxious, depleted, or overwhelmed on the inside.

Many are used to being strong for others, navigating complex relationships, and giving more than they receive.

They are ready for therapy that goes deeper than coping alone.

  • Therapy at Inner Wealth Therapy is steady, collaborative, and focused on real change. We look at patterns, attachment dynamics, and nervous system responses while building emotional safety so insight can actually lead to different choices in your life.

  • Many of the clients I work with have been in therapy before and understand their patterns well.
Sometimes insight alone is not enough, and the work needs to focus more on nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and how patterns show up in relationships today.

  • If you have insight into your patterns but still feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, this work may be a good fit.

Many of my clients are high-functioning and capable, yet continue to repeat patterns despite understanding why.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. If you’re ready for change, we can explore together whether this work aligns with your needs.

  • Yes. I use EMDR-informed and trauma-informed approaches when appropriate.

We will decide together if EMDR is a good fit. It is integrated into the work when helpful.

  • I provide individual therapy for adults (18+) navigating trauma, relational patterns, and emotional well-being.

    I do not provide:
    • Couples or family therapy
    • Crisis or emergency services
    • Court-ordered or forensic evaluations
    • Documentation for legal, disability, or emotional support animal requests unless you are an established client
